INVENTORY MANAGEMENT & WAREHOUSING

Terberg Company has its own warehouse where all assembly tools and vehicle parts are stored. Their warehouse is exclusively utilized to keep the items of their company. In other words, their warehouses are not rented out to third parties for the storage of their goods. They do not want to take any risks by renting out their warehouse to outsiders since they are concerned about losing stored items and not being able to give the finest warehousing service. As a result, their warehouse is simply employed to support their company's operation in constructing vehicles because everything is already there.

Terberg Company maintains its warehouse entirely manually without the use of technology. They don't place a high priority on warehouse upgrades because their major goal is to supply good trucks for use as container pullers at the port. Their warehouse received little investment and was just utilized to store items.

This company is still going to invest in barcode technology for its warehouse. They are investing in barcoding because a barcode inventory system is far more precise than manually tracking inventory. With barcodes, human error may be greatly eliminated, and their inventory will have more precise data. They can simply determine what they have in stock and what they don't with barcodes. When a customer buys a product, they may scan the barcode and immediately remove it from their inventory records. Terberg Company will always have up-to-date inventory data to make sound business decisions throughout the day. All of their products can be scanned immediately using barcodes on their inventory, and data can be simply uploaded to a computer. This will greatly speed up the process of checking a customer out after a transaction. Instead of inputting each product and calculating the total price by hand, the computer can do it for them.

With the availability of barcoding, the challenges experienced by those who frequently lose products can be minimized. The products were still in the warehouse but were not discovered, so they had to be ordered again, incurring additional expenditures. As a result, they are solely interested in barcoding technology.
